As communications manager for the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Research, Emily Bezak serves as a communications strategist and content producer for the research enterprise at Pitt. She works collaboratively across the university to manage the PittResearch brand through digital communications and content, with a focus on website content, newsletter channels, and social media.
Most recently, Bezak taught the Fundamentals of Business Communication core course at the College of Business Administration as an adjunct instructor, and operated her own content marketing business, providing strategic oversight and digital content to startups, corporate marketing teams, and marketing agencies in Pittsburgh and across the country. Before her entrepreneurial endeavors, she led marketing campaigns and creative teams of all sizes for over a decade. Most notably, she was head of direct marketing at Dollar Bank and a contract digital marketing project manager for a Fortune 500 company.
She earned a bachelor of science in business management from Point Park University and a master's of business administration (MBA) from the University of Pittsburgh's Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.
