Welcome to the Pittsburgh Federal Statistical Research Data Center (Pittsburgh FSRDC), a secure research facility that provides qualified researchers access to restricted-use microdata from the U.S. Census Bureau and other federal statistical agencies. The Pittsburgh FSRDC is a joint initiative of the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University, operated in partnership with the U.S. Census Bureau.
The Pittsburgh FSRDC supports cutting-edge research in economics, public health, business, social policy, political science, demography, and related fields. By providing access to detailed federal data in a secure environment, the center enables researchers to investigate questions that cannot be answered with publicly available datasets.
This website provides background on the FSRDC system and the Pittsburgh Center, along with information for interested researchers to learn about the confidential data available through the Center and the process for formulating a proposal and gaining access. If after reviewing the information on this site you are interested in developing a project proposal to use FSRDC data, please contact the Center administrator.
