Acknowledgment format
Proper acknowledgment of the shared core facilities is required by US funding agencies and enables tracking of the impact of our shared core facilities and can lead to additional funding for new equipment.
Thus, core facilities from the University of Pittsburgh should also be acknowledged with their respective RRID number.
Here is a template that new shared cores should use:
Work performed in the XXX Facility (RRID:######) and services and instruments used in this project were graciously supported, in part, by the University of Pittsburgh, the Department of [name of the department], and the [name of the foundation or granted institution] Foundation.
