- Center for Medical Innovation (CMI)
The Center for Medical Innovation (CMI), part of the Swanson School of Engineering, hosts the Early Stage Medical Technology Development & Commercialization program on campus.
The CMI is currently requesting preproposals for the Early-Stage Medical Technology Research and Development Round-1 2025 Pilot Funding Program. The Pilot Funding program supports the mission of the CMI to develop innovative new solutions to clinical challenges that result in improvements in patient care through clinical/technical partnerships. - Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation (MCSI)
Annually, the Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation (MCSI) at the University of Pittsburgh requests faculty grant proposals for interdisciplinary sustainability education and research initiatives.
- Office of Research, Health Sciences
The Office of Research, Health Sciences (OORHS) hosts the annual Competitive Medical Research Fund (CMRF) to support junior scientists in developing preliminary data and hypotheses that will enable submission of high competitive applications to national funding sources.
- UPMC Hillman Cancer Center
The UPMC Hillman Cancer Center funds basic, translational, clinical, and population-based research to advance the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. Funding from the Hillman Cancer Center is provided through Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) Research Programs, Specialized Programs of Research Excellence (SPOREs), and Research Centers.
