Christine Burr helps lead strategic communications initiatives that elevate the visibility and impact of research at the University of Pittsburgh. She develops and executes integrated research communications strategies across digital platforms, publications and executive messaging, collaborating closely with senior leadership, faculty and institutional partners on high-priority initiatives.
Burr has worked in science communications at Pitt since 2000. Most recently, she supported physicians, researchers and executive leadership in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine and the Department of Surgery, producing leadership communications and publications; managing newsletters, websites and social media; and editing content for scientific manuscripts and grant applications.
She holds a bachelor's degree in English and certificates in digital media and administration from the University of Pittsburgh as well as a certification from the Board of Editors in the Life Sciences.
