In her role as senior director of human resources and administration, Shari Manges provides strategic oversight of operations, human resources and project management for the Office of the Senior Vice Chancellor for Research (OSVCR). In addition, she supervises the OSVCR administrative team, leads continuous improvement efforts, serves as responsibility center administrator for Pitt Research and is a member of several University-wide strategic working groups.
Manges joined Pitt Research in 2019 and has been with the University for more than 15 years in business management and human resources roles in several units, including the Office of the Provost, Department of Medicine, Office of Institutional Engagement and Wellbeing, and Office of Human Resources. Prior to her time at Pitt, she worked in human resources at a community hospital and held sales positions in telecommunications and manufacturing companies. Manges has an MBA with a human resources concentration, is a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and is a proud Pitt parent.
